The student Emanuel Jöbstl (5BHITN) presented as a representative of the IT department of the HTL-Villach AINAC in 2010, the Austrian International Networking Academy Conference in St. Pölten, he developed the network simulator NetLab.

NetLab is a tool for graphical simulation and analysis of a variety of network functions. Various network components can be easily generated and configured in many variations of each other. Real and virtual networks can be included in the topology.

Implemented Features: (static and RIP)
  • Layer 2 sniffing and injection (WinPcap)
  • routing
  • Network Mapping
  • proof-of-concept attacks
  • analysis of standard protocols
  • speed measurement
  • NAT
  • plug-in capability
  • load and save Try
  • WAN emulation
  • ARP scanning and much more.
The implemented network protocols and functions can be used to own. Net applications.
