I always start with it: The first thing to understand is that the wine is the harvest of a farmer. Ok? Each bottle of wine comes from the hands of a farmer somewhere in the world. And as you know, need to live in an agricultural community and farmers every penny they get for their crops. This is for the farmers: Thank you.

He understands the whole process of the game the wine world. What I will do so, I will ask Peter a small song and dance that tells you all about the beautiful wine that comes from Nova Scotia.
Benjamin Bridge is a winery that is located literally around the corner. We are, therefore, cuts just over the hill and on the other side of the ridge on de White Rock Road.
The climate here in Nova Scotia are absolutely fantastic for, in sparkling wines and aromatic wines.
This grape variety is also ... they should comfortably casual, his homey ... can be well on decks and docks and so enjoy. It has a low alcohol content. Moscato d'Asti has really only about five and a half percent. We have increased this share to about seven percent. And we think, without air (?), It is so, we we would like. It has a little alcohol to enjoy safe, are often harmless. (?)

One of the beautiful things about the Bubbys (?) - And this is one of the purposes for which they were first used - is that they that they were placed in the patient's health care system of France.
can come You have air in it. The air opens the wine. Therefore, the glass vibrates slightly.
I can write on my bottle of Burgundy and everyone in France, that this is a Pinot Noir - Pinot Noir because it is only grown in Burgundy. But, I can not call it burgundy when I grow Pinot Noir in California.
wine producers as Peter, her true skill is to herzunehmen different wines and blend them.

You can make bad wine from good grapes, but you can never good wine from bad Grapes make.
One thing I would say to you: the world of wine is wonderful. The Shiraz grape

And there are actually a man named Wolf Blass. He is a little guy, about the size, he is German ah ... German origin.
There is no relationship between quality and price. In the top 100 best wines of the world were only five wines over $ 700 and the average price of the 100 best wines the world was 28 dollars and seventy-irgenwas cents.
Buy buy a bottle of wine, try it, and if you do not like it, it never again. Find that taste you. Drink only that taste you.
wines are like people, in the sense that you never know where you end up with you.
not all the wines are necessarily better, the more they get older.
I can tell you that 99 percent of the wines you buy from the alcohol industry should be consumed immediately.
And many people have the false impression that one can make a wine to age for ever and that he becomes better and better.
I advise you prefer to buy a $ 12 wine that you like, as when a $ 30 bottle, where you only pay for the brand.
It sometimes makes white wine from red grapes. Because when you pressed the red grape, one notices that their juice is white. Ok? This is because, because, all the color and flavor in the grapes in the gelatinous layer inside the grape. We press the grapes and leave them in a large vat with their skins place. And, we stamp (?) Him, we say the paper Press the down, so the skins come up. Or we use big huge vats, where it continuously pours wine on the grape and again as always brings down. And so we get the color in our grapes in our wine.
There is not much to say. Have fun, enjoy it and it's a fascinating world, the world of wine. Thank you.

Show 505 Thursday 20 September
The show of 20 September YouTube.
Hi, I'm Sarah. Welcome to the Daily English Show.
Since I'm here at Acadia, I already took some brochures and flyers and read because I think that's a pretty good way to find out things about a new environment.
And I discovered something interesting in this book. This is the Acadia University Academic Handbook (Academic Handbook of Acadia University). And in there I found the model of Acadia.
is a mission statement, this dictionary to follow, a formal summary of the objectives and values of an organization .
This is the model of Acadia:
The object of the Acadia University to provide a personal and rigorous liberal education is to mediate, a robust and respectful scholarly community to promote, and inspire a wide range of students to critical thinking to be added for life-learning, engaged citizens and responsible global leaders.
I think that's a pretty good job. And I worked once for ECC in Japan and I liked their mission statement as well.
It is user objective pursued with the teaching of foreign languages to the development of skills, an international awareness and leadership skills of our students. In this way we hope to promote interaction and understanding between the peoples of the world and thereby contribute to world peace.
What do you think of role models? I think they are pretty useless if an organization does not believe in their mission statement or not followed.
But I think it may be helpful. So I thought I could but a mission statement for The Daily Show writing English. Of course I have a rough idea of what our role or our purpose is. But I thought it would be a good idea to hold this in a mission statement and bring it to the point. Have

Hi, I'm Sarah. Welcome to the Daily English Show.
Today's error is from one of my students from Brazil. As you might know, I teach English online. So far, all my students from Japan or Brazil
I've never been to Brazil, so it is quite interesting to have students from there - I learn something about the country. And I'm learning a little about the Portugisische - because the mistakes of the people often be because they say it in English so as one would say in their native language.
One of the things my students said, was normal . He used it when I asked him things like: How was your weekend ? or was it like working today?
He said hmm, normal . And then I told him that it was funny in English, if it normal answered and instead could be alright ok or or the same as usual (such as always respond).
And then he told me that he made the mistake probably because it so I would say in Portuguese.
And I thought, "oh, that's interesting" because it is similar to Japanese.
normal in Japanese is Futsu - and you can use the word, to answer questions in order ok or express in order .

STICK NEWS

Because you can, for example, a group of students work and forgets that they are from four or five different countries. They all work together, have a very similar attitude. So, basically, by and large Whole they are very similar.
Sarah Why did you love to study at Acadia?
Susan Because I grew up in a small town, so the study at the Acadia ... here to study in Wolfville is like in a small town to live. And I really like the atmosphere, love the small town atmosphere. It is near my home. And the university itself is very near and comes closer to his professors. I studied really two years at the Del Housie in Halifax. And that's a very, very large university and they felt very impersonal. But I decided to come here and finish off the last two years. And it was very personal and a much more intimate experience. I liked it very much more.
Sarah What makes you most enjoy in teaching?
Susan I am happy if the students understand something. If they see something they Habne not understood and if they ask and I tell them and they understand it and then finally you can see it in their faces. This is what I enjoy it.

The show of 17 September YouTube.
Hi, I'm Sarah. Welcome to the Daily English Show.
The host of today's show is Susan. It is one of English teachers here at Acadia. She has been teaching about 12 years ago and it has been a year at Acadia. I asked her why she decided to teach English.
I gave Korean students private lessons when I lived in Canada, then ... 1996th And at that time I really wanted to visit Korea. So was my first decision to go to Korea. So I went to Korea for a year and really enjoyed it. And then I went to Japan and taught. And in between I also gave private lessons. So, teaches in Canada and Korea and Japan and now back in Canada.

The landing in Phuket was scheduled for 15:50 clock.
prevailed just before the landing of strong wind and heavy rain and the plane crashed and burst into flames.
80 people were killed.
A 22-year-old from British Columbia was one of the lucky ones who managed to escape.
She said the guy behind you would have kicked in a window or door. He had long entered until it finally opened.
"If it had not opened," she said, "we would have died. It was dark and smoky. I felt like I was about to faint."

# 309 Why did the opted for the Acadia?
Step 1: Repeat Sarah text.
Step 2: Read Sarah's text and talk to Susan .
Sarah as distinguished teaching in Japan, Korea and Canada?
Susan Actually teaching in Korea and Japan, much the same, because I always have the same kind of class taught. Because, I taught elementary school classes and business people - I went to companies and taught in business, and then I had a normal adult courses.
But the teaching in Canada is very, very different. Because the way of teaching here, I think the lesson very a 12th Class is similar.
So there is a different kind of teaching. It is not so much ESL, it is more like EUP or EAP instruction, ie English for academic purposes. It differs so pretty, and teaching here in Canada, from my experience overseas.
Sarah Why did you chose the Acadia?
Susan Because I had visited the Acadia here and completed my studies at Acadia '93 and I love this school, and also it is near my hometown. And I wanted to work here forever.
Sarah Where do most students?
Susan Here at the Acadia? Well, most of it from China. Order, mainly from China and even some from Japan and Korea. Also, many from Saudi Arabia or the Arab countries in general, but mainly from China.
Sarah Are the students from different countries?
Susan No. Really, they are very ählnich. And I think they are probably even surprised. Sunday Kitchen # 64 Acadia canteen
We have now looked at the cafeteria of the Acadia. It is quite luxury, not true. It is a million times better than the cafeteria where I ate in the first year, which concerns the selection of food.
We went there for breakfast.
Trattoria. What does that well? ( Wikipedia says "a small Italian eatery," translator's note )
I do not understand really what that means: It's hip, square to eat.
Porridge (cooked oatmeal).
cereal.
Mmm, bagels.
bread.
Fruit
How cool is that? This machine is cleaning up the dirty dishes. As if by magic. There can
There is also this place called myPantry on which to cook his own food. There are many different ingredients. Even a corner with a gluten-free stuff. And a lot of soy milk. Chic!
They even left in the kitchen. Cool.
There was a huge furnace.

Show 499 Friday 14 September
The show of 14 September YouTube.
Hi, I'm Sarah. Welcome to the Daily English Show.
Today I'm me, I'll tell you something about English courses here at Acadia. There are courses here called EPP, which for English for Professional Purposes (English for professional use) is. These courses focus on English for travel, communication and work purposes. That's mainly what I was doing in Japan.
The other courses are EUP, which for English for University Purposes (English for academic purposes) is. EUP courses are for people who want to study at a university. Especially if they want to study at Acadia, but it also is preparing a course for study at another university.
Some students come for example from China and they want to earn a degree at Acadia, but before they take part in EUP rates.
And to attend a regular course, one must have reached a particular level. You must either have a certain level of EUP rates reached or pass a test with a certain score.
And for EUP courses, there are different levels. On Tuesday, the students had to write a test, to determine what level they are. The test is called CAEL test, which for Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (assessment of the English language faculty in Canada). The test is like the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), of whom you've probably heard, or the International English Language Testing System (international system for testing the English language faculty).
These are international test, and the CAEL is designed only for Canada. So I think that probably every country has its own test.
I have not given a lot of English classes for academic or academic purposes, so I do not know much about it. But I'm for it. So I'm going with some students and teachers encourage and let you know what I find.

Sarah Oh, everything ... On the morning after a boozy Night waking. No, seriously, to see if I opened a book and tried to read something, because there were so many words I did not understand. And as for the content, I had no idea what it was there.
Tommy What courses have you covered in the first year?
Sarah I had politics, philosophy, English literature and French.
Tommy How were they?
Sarah Now, English and French, I'd had in high school, I had so at least some idea of what it was there. But in politics, I had absolutely no plan. I do not even know what left-wing and right-wing means. I remember that, that there was a guy who lived at the end of the hallway, and he was very interesssiert in politics, so I went to him one day, knocked on the door and said: "Darren, I know not know what the left-and right-wing, can you explain it to me? " And he said: "Sure." He was really cool. He is now even a member of Parliament.
Tommy Wow, really? It must indeed be a fairly young member of parliament.
Sarah Yes, I think he is New Zealand's youngest member.

Show 498 Thursday 13 September
The show of 13 September YouTube.
Hi, I'm Sarah. Welcome to the Daily English Show.
Last night we found one of the most important things on campus: the bar The bar is called here the Axe (ax). Oddly
have to do many things here on campus with axes. The yearbook is called, for example, the Axe. And sports teams are called the Axemen and Axewomen . Look, the A is for Acadia and here there are two axes.
I think it's kind funny, because when I think of axes, I connect it does not normally with a university. I usually think then to horror movies, or chopping wood, but they are ultimately intended.
The bar is so the Axe and I looked at their website and read that they call their Angstellten the Axe army (the Axtarmee). Sounds scary, right?
But we were there last night and it was cool. No blood.
Yesterday was also an event. I do not know her name but a few hours were in the building of Student Services many tables and each table was a different club or other organization represented, and they applied what they make in each case in order to gain new members. The
was interesting. There were so many different types of clubs. And including some in which I would definitely member if I were a student.
And we have filmed and some people there questions. Namely, for a new segment of the show. Every day we ask a few people on campus a question. If anyone has an idea for a question we should ask, then she shares with me please.

order, my club is called Acadia Dungeons and Dragons. We play a table top RPG. And, it makes it really fun.
Ah, the reason why people should join us is because we, we are a Fair Trade cooperative society and what we basically do is apply for fair trade, so we have a one greater impression on the countries with whom we work.
One should join the Women's Center, because we do a lot of education work on campus and in Wolfville in general.
There are a lot of reasons to volunteer, ah, except that it really feels good to do something important.
The Environmental Club is a friendly group, so you should join him.
martial arts is a kind of culture, right, we have a five-, six-year-old tradition, one can learn activities, as can be, precisely, his build well, muscles and you can learn other cultures, at the same time, right?
Ah, the Fencing Club is a great way to stay active. It is an Olympic discipline. It is one of the Olympic sports that is often overlooked. This gives Anerkennnung for it ...
video games can be very important in the life of the people. And especially this game, Super Smash Brothers Melee is a very popular game that people find very, very amusing, I am one of them. And, ah, basically playing Super Smash Brothers, what brings this club with him.

Max How was the Axe?
Sarah good. It was pretty big. And you had to show his ID before entry, which I found very interesting because at my university, the police had not allowed, except there was a specific reason to why we did not have to worry about ID checks.
Max Were there many people?
Sarah Yes, very much. All the tables were occupied. And there was an event called Night of Trivia.
Max What's going on in the night of Trivia?
Sarah It is organized as a quiz. We are in the middle has been made, so we first do not really understand what was going on. But apparently you will need a pay $ to participate and get a Antwortforumlar, and must write down the answer to the question.
Max What was there to answer questions asked?
To Sarah, one of which was: "Which set of oak featuring a pause in the sentence?" Things like, that was pretty easy. And some Canadian issues, of which I had no idea how, "Which piece of so and so is normally taken in fifth grade?" And I like that, I do not even know what the fifth grade, is in elementary school or high school? And then there was a spelling bee.
Max Have you participated?
Sarah Noooo. I would not be faced with all these people. In the Canadian spelling I'm not sure.

have to do many things here on campus with axes.

Step 2: Read Max ' text and talk to Sarah .
