# 314 How have you won the election?
Step 1: Repeat Sarah text.
Step 2: Read Sarah's text and talk to Kyle .
Sarah Why did you made up your mind for the presidency to run?
To Kyle, I think that had much to do with the fact that I, I'm pretty passionate, what the students here and the Acadia University regards itself. And, ah, I could improve many things.
'm So I applied.
Sarah How have you won the election?
Kyle order, a two-week campaign. In order, we have designed many posters and hung lots of signs.
Many conversations with people where we have tried to get them excited about what we have to offer them. Um, I competed with two other people, so there was some kind of list of candidates. Around, but ah, yes, it was basically a lot of campaign advertising and ah, a lot of sleepless nights and ah, that was our foundation.
Sarah What are your duties as president?
Kyle As president of the organizations I basically oversee all the services of the work as a whole. I monitor the conductor. To, but I am responsible for the student body as a whole. So I'm at the bottom of the food chain. In order, therefore, the students tell me what to do. To, but I also represent the work to the national government, provincial government, ah, about the administration.
Sarah power to you, the job fun?
Kyle I love him. Every minute of it. I mean, some days are quite stressful, and when I get home, I tell myself this: "Oh, why I had just tried." But an hour later you can see how great it was and what, you know what effect it had on the general student body on this day.
Sarah What makes you the most?
Kyle order to interact with people. I am a social person, I love to chat with people and talk. So, to meet new people every day is really great. And, ah, well, ah, you know, to communicate with the alumni and the Board and such people to, is also great, you know, deal with them every day.
Sarah complain What the students most?
Kyle moment, obviously the negotiations between the faculties. Ah, that's something you often hear and something that we apply the moment, to draw attention to it. Order, otherwise there is not much right now. So early this year, it is difficult to judge what will be the main issues. Ah, but during the year there are usually not many complaints. It's usually an individual, you know that has a problem with something, but quickly resolved can be.
Sarah What would you most like to improve the Acadia?
Kyle order to communicate. That was one of our goals in the campaign that we wanted to communicate better and, you know, wanted to find new ways to do that.
So, I mean, we've started, you know, with a large attack on Facebook, which this year is the big thing. Ah, podcasts, videocasts. Um, I mean, this week we had a meeting in the student body. To which we could move 140 people. This is a big deal. involve all students, this year, and that was something that really wanted to do.
Sarah Want to become a politician?
To Kyle, I've been thinking about it. A couple of times. Ah, I do not quite know if this is something, dass .. I want wrden more or less teachers, that's about my goal. But if the opportunity arises, I will take it.
