Show 505 Thursday 20 September
The show of 20 September YouTube.
Hi, I'm Sarah. Welcome to the Daily English Show.
Since I'm here at Acadia, I already took some brochures and flyers and read because I think that's a pretty good way to find out things about a new environment.
And I discovered something interesting in this book. This is the Acadia University Academic Handbook (Academic Handbook of Acadia University). And in there I found the model of Acadia.
is a mission statement, this dictionary to follow, a formal summary of the objectives and values of an organization .
This is the model of Acadia:
The object of the Acadia University to provide a personal and rigorous liberal education is to mediate, a robust and respectful scholarly community to promote, and inspire a wide range of students to critical thinking to be added for life-learning, engaged citizens and responsible global leaders.
I think that's a pretty good job. And I worked once for ECC in Japan and I liked their mission statement as well.
It is user objective pursued with the teaching of foreign languages to the development of skills, an international awareness and leadership skills of our students. In this way we hope to promote interaction and understanding between the peoples of the world and thereby contribute to world peace.
What do you think of role models? I think they are pretty useless if an organization does not believe in their mission statement or not followed.
But I think it may be helpful. So I thought I could but a mission statement for The Daily Show writing English. Of course I have a rough idea of what our role or our purpose is. But I thought it would be a good idea to hold this in a mission statement and bring it to the point. Have
to their proposals?

According to Wikinews, the rise of the Canadian dollar caused in part by the rapidly increasing prices for oil, gold, copper and wheat, commodities that Canada exports in large quantities.
impact of rising currencies are a cheaper imports from the United States to Canada and a rise in tourism from Canada in the United States while the Canadian export industry has suffered.
